Asparagus fern

Asparagus ferns are like mini jungles and I can't get enough of them! They are fluffy and gorgeous and surprisingly easy to care for! Read below for my main tips for success.

Light:

Asparagus ferns prefer a shadier spot so keep them out of direct sun! They are perfect for rooms with low light. But remember - all plants need at least SOME light so don't be tempted to put them in a windowless bathroom.

Water:

As with other ferns, asparagus ferns love to be consistently moist. So when the top of the soil dries out, give them a water. But you don't want them to be soggy and swimming in water so make sure the pot has drainage and you allow it to drain each time you water.

Humidity:

Asparagus ferns love humidity, the best ways to achieve this are by keeping the plant in a bathroom, misting regularly, using a humidifier or placing the plant on a tray of wet pebbles.

Food:

You can feed your asparagus fern with every second watering or around once a month in the warmer months. Feeding is not required over autumn/winter as the plant is not actively growing. You can purchase our plant food here.
